Taking a passion and a talent and turning it into a career is a challenging step especially in the music industry with so many areas to consider.
Phil has over 10 years experience in the music industry. His background is in event management, touring, marketing and promotion having started his career at Sony Music helping to develop artists such as The Coral, The Zutons and Beyonce.
Phil has gone on to run several festival stages including the Secret Garden Party and ?the Cambridge Folk Festival. ?Phil also runs Neon Street ? providing a marketing service and consultancy for musicians.
He also runs the new online resource?YourMusicBusiness.co.uk , a web resource for use by music students at universities, colleges and schools in theUK to be inspired and to learn about business and enterprise within the music industry.? Populated with video and audio case studies of working professionals,? providing specialist inspirational advice and guidance to young people aspiring to build careers.

Phil is the Music Business Lecturer at Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridgeand Music Business Specialist on BBC Introducing Cambridgeshire.
